One of the most requested additions to Vanguard Zombies has finally been addressed by the devs who promise that they are working on implementing a pause feature into the game.
Fans of the Zombies game mode have been asking for a pause feature since the moment Vanguard Zombies was released. Treyarch’s previous statement on the matter mentioned that the feature was in development but no timetable was given, leaving fans desperate for a release window.
On January 11, during the ‘115 Day preview’ the devs revealed that a dedicated pause feature would hit Vanguard Zombies shortly.
It seems all the pestering has paid off as fans are set to receive their most asked-for feature by a long shot. January 11 was a huge day for fans of the game mode that also got confirmation of Shi No Numa’s return as a round-based map.
Not only will they get to enjoy a fan-favorite Zombies map but they’ll have the ability to pause the game which gives players a much-needed break when aiming to play for hours on end.
The official Treyarch blog post detailed a ton of new content that is sure to get Zombies players excited after months of despair over a lackluster experience.
Treyarch says that adding server pause in Vanguard Zombies is “taking longer than” they would like it too, and it’s coming “soon” pic.twitter.com/NPPtojD4Gm
The devs admit that the process of introducing a dedicated server pause has taken longer than they anticipated, “Like all of you, we wanted Dedicated Server Pause for solo players to be included sooner, and the amount of work required to get it right has frankly taken longer than we would’ve liked.”
Although there is no official date, the feedback from the devs is a positive sign. It shouldn’t be long before players access the pause feature in a Zombies game.

Here’s how to inspect your weapon in Call of Duty: Warzone and Vanguard, no matter which input you play on.

Weapon inspection is a classic Call of Duty feature that was missing from Vanguard at launch. However, a setting added in the mid-Season 1 update teases that it will arrive soon, so here’s how to inspect your weapon in both Vanguard and Warzone.
With Call of Duty’s long-time focus on skins and cosmetics, the weapon inspect feature is a great tool to get a good look at your Blueprints or Mastery Camos. Simply press a button and your Operator will hold the weapon in the air, twirl it around, and sometimes inspect the magazine.
You can inspect your weapon in Warzone but unfortunately, the ability isn’t available in Vanguard yet. However, the keybind was added to the Settings menu in the mid-Season 1 update, so it’s likely coming soon.
Here’s how you can inspect your weapon in both Warzone and Vanguard.
Warzone players have been able to inspect their weapons since the feature was added in the Modern Warfare Season 5 update, and it’s extremely easy to do.
Here’s how to inspect your weapon in Warzone:
We recommend keeping the inspect weapon keybind out of the way, as it’s not something you want to press in the middle of a firefight. But, inspecting your weapon is a great way to check out your camos and Blueprints.
However, it appears that you can’t inspect Vanguard weapons in Warzone. This may arrive alongside Vanguard’s inspect feature, though.
Vanguard’s mid-Season 1 update has added a keybind option to the game’s settings, however, it doesn’t work yet.
This feature will likely be implemented at a later date, so here’s how you’ll be able to inspect your weapon:

You can always change the mouse and keyboard keybind by opening up the settings. Here’s what to do:

Vanguard Zombies developers Treyarch have confirmed that players will have “multiple” Wonder Weapons in Season 2.

Vanguard Zombies devs Treyarch have confirmed that multiple new Wonder Weapons will be added to the mode in Season 2.
While Vanguard’s Zombies mode may not have been well received by fans so far, plenty of players have enjoyed the new addition. Developed with Treyarch, Vanguard’s story continues the Dark Aether saga from Black Ops Cold War.
Treyarch have already confirmed that the long-awaited pause feature is finally on its way in the very near future, while Shi No Numa returns as part of the Season 1.5 patch.
With Season 2 already on the thoughts of fans, Treyarch have confirmed that the major patch will have some exciting inclusions in the form of multiple Wonder Weapons.
Wonder Weapons are special tools players can unlock in Zombies, equipped with insane stats and often special effects. These weapons are the ultimate tool in any player’s arsenal when fighting off hordes of the undead.
Players were extremely disappointed to hear that Vanguard did not feature any of these incredible weapons at launch, but finally, Treyarch have confirmed they are on their way.
In a blog posted on January 11, the devs confirmed that there is “plenty in the works for Season Two, including multiple Wonder Weapons, more survival gameplay, a new story quest,” and more. It’s important to note that Treyarch specifically said “multiple Wonder Weapons,” which means we can expect at least two, if not more.
Unfortunately, Treyarch didn’t confirm which Wonder Weapons would be added to the game. The Ray-Gun is a Zombies classic that has been missing though, so they may opt to drop it first to appease those who miss the legendary gun.
The good news is that we’re already at the midpoint of Season 1, so hopefully, we won’t have too long to wait before we get the answer.

Vanguard players are upset that the 1.5 Season update has caused issues with some Blueprints in the game.

The Season 1.5 update brought many changes to CoD: Vanguard, but players have reported that the patch has caused issues with the in-game Blueprints. Players are now able to access the Armory again, but are still reporting some items are missing.
Vanguard received its first big patch of January 11, 2022. The Season 1.5 update brought various bug fixes, weapon balancing changes, and other adjustments. However, it also came with a few problems that Sledgehammer quickly addressed.
Players have reported that after the update went live, the in-game Blueprints began to go missing. It seems that the latest patch has caused the Armory to be locked in-game, which caused frustration for players.
Reddit user “SouthernG_-_” highlighted this issue in the CoD: Vanguard subreddit. They stated that while checking out their saved custom MG42, they noticed that there was no Blueprint in the armory.
This was also the case with other weapons, as all Blueprints seemed to have disappeared after the Season 1.5 update went live. Sledgehammer Games has confirmed that Blueprints have re-appeared in-game and the Armory is accessible again in a tweet on January 11th.
📢 The Armory is no longer locked and Blueprints are accessible.
Some Redditors claim that their Blueprint of the MG42 included grey tracers but after the update, the weapon tracers are missing. Others are experiencing the same issues in Call of Duty: Vanguard.
Blueprints often come with cosmetic changes and special attachments. So, it’s understandable why players aren’t happy that the new Vanguard update has caused them to stop working properly.
“Not even gonna risk playing a match,” commented one user. “With our luck, it will break our accounts and we won’t be able to actually play with those Blueprints again.” This is an issue that Sledgehammer will fix soon.
